There are a total of 5 computers on the station. Of these only two are available for general use, we suggest bringing your own equipment.

Printing is allowed (in limited quantities!) on a network Canon iP2000 inkjet printer. A Visioneer 4800 USB scanner is available for making files out of documents, or digitizing pictures. Internet connection is possible either through the multiple DSL cables available throughout the dry lab, or there is also a wireless hub located in the dry lab for scientists with cards in their computers. Despite this abundance of connection options, the internet connection at Huinay is slow (through a satellite) and may become nonexistent depending on the weather and number of other users on the network. Please do not be surprised when it takes over 1 hour to download a 3MB document!.
